With upwards of 10,000 losing power in the area thanks to Hurricane Sandy Monday, thousands are left without power Tuesday morning, according to LIPA numbers.
Monday evening, LIPA issued a statement saying that crews would be hitting the ground Tuesday morning depending on weather conditions. Officials have stated that some areas could remain without power for 7-10 days.
