The Miller Place Superintednent's presented their budget to the Board, teachers and the community on Wedneday. The proposal includes 22.5 teacher layoffs, the elimination of clubs such as high school drama and robotics, as well as removal of the entire North Country Road Middle School athletic program.

World War II veteran and longtime Mt. Sinai Fire Department volunteer and Captain, Louis H. Rowehl, of Mt. Sinai, passed away on Feb. 24 at the age of 92. Rowehl was a tank driver during WWII and received a Purple Heart.
