Week in Review: New Restaurant on the Way, Parents Push for School Trip

The long-empty Rocky Point Taco Bell building will soon be serving tacos once again. Moe's Southwest Grill will in the former Taco Bell building, as plans have been approved to open the restaurant by the Brookhaven Town Planning Board.

Abi Fayette, a senior at Shoreham-Wading River High School, put her talents on display as the featured soloist at a performance of the Massapequa Philharmonic Orchestra's special annual Youth Concert.

A once-annual trip to Washington DC for Miller Place eighth graders was cut in this year's budget. Now, parents of the upcoming class are urging the Board of Education to do what they can to reinstate the trip for the 2012-13 year.

James Myron Moeller, a former Miller Place school teacher and an active East Hampton resident, died at on Jan. 22. He was 73.
