Weekend Guide: Sports, Music and an E-Waste Drive

A list of events in the area this weekend.

1. Have some old electronics to get rid of? Dispose of them safely Saturday at the E-Waste Drive hosted by Councilwoman Jane Bonner at the Rose Caracappa Senior Center in Mt. Sinai.

2. Cheer on the Stony Brook University men's basketball team as they take on Iowa in a National Invitational Tournament second-round game at 9:30 p.m. (Eastern) that will be televised on ESPNU.

3. Students in grade 6-12 interested in game design and 3D animation can head to the North Shore Public Library Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. To create, tryout and take home a game using VR Quest software. Call ahead to register.

4. Enjoy Zumba and/or Koga at the Heritage Center in Mt. Sinai Saturday morning. Zumba begins at 8:30 a.m. and Koga starts and hour after.

5. Crazy Beans in Miller Place is featuring a DJ Friday night and the kitchen will be open. Come by Saturday night for live music starting at 8 p.m.
