Town of Brookhaven Polar Plunge
When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday with Cedar Beach.
What: Help raise money for the athletes of Special Olympics New York by asking your friends, family, co-workers, etc. to support you in taking the plunge. Every Plunger that raises $125 receives an official Plunge sweatshirt, raise more money and receive more great prizes. To get started, log on and click the Register Here button. Polar Express and Tree Lighting
When/Where: 5:30 p.m. Saturday with Tree Lighting at Aliano Shopping Center, 691 Route 25a.
What: The Polar Expres s rides through Miller Place this weekend. Train A leaves station 2 at 5:30 p.m. and heads to McNulty's for pickup. Train B begins at the Aliano Shopping Center at 6:45 and will ride through Helme Ave., Heanerly Dr., Sweetgum Lane and Oakland Ave. before returning to the shopping center for the annual tree lighting at 8 p.m.
Santa Pet Pictures
When/Where: 4 p.m. Saturday at Petco in Rocky Point.
What: Bring your cats, dogs, donkeys, ferrets, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, birds, snakes...whatever pet you may have for a picture with Save's Santa Al. Picture with frame costs $8.95 and revenue from the pictures goes to help the SAVES spay/neuter and rescue/adopt programs.
An Afternoon With Hypnosmoothie
When/Where: 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Crazy Beans.
