Did you know this about your school taxes?

How do your school taxes compare with the rate of inlation?

DID YOU KNOW:   From 2001 to 2011, school taxes in the Rocky Point School District have increased by 80 percent―as compared to the 27 percent rate of inflation over the same period. Remember that most of your school taxes go toward salaries and benefits. Over that time has your salary increased by almost three times the inflation rate? Have your benefits gone up? Has the value of your heavily taxed home gone up by that much?

These figures are for the Rocky Point School District.  How does your district compare? Remember this on May 15th and vote no.
