Whether you see them during football games or just walking down the street, the Salvation Army's red kettles are ubiquitous this time of year. If you can find one, they have a family store in Patchogue and accept monetary donations online.

Goodwill collects clothing and other goods year round. The nearest center is in Centereach.

is always looking for donors to keep the shelter operating. They have many holiday programs, including pictures with Santa, to raise funds at the end of the year.

The Rocky Point Girl Scouts have adopted 8 families in need this Christmas, too. What a wonderful and caring community we live in!
