Celebrating the High Holy Days in Miller Place-Rocky Point

A list of local service times.

Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, begins on Wednesday at sundown and is the first of the High Holy Days. Services will be held at several area temples and public gathering places. Below is a list of local service times.

-Temple Beth Emeth of Mt. Sinai will host services on Wednesday at 8 p.m., Thursday at 10 a.m.

-North Shore Jewish Center will host services on Wednesday at 7 p.m., Thursday at 8:30 a.m., and 7 p.m. Friday at 8:30 a.m. and again at 7 p.m.

- Stony Brook University's Hillel organization will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah starting Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Click here for more details.

- Temple Isaiah and Chabad at Stony Brook are also celebrating the Jewish high holidays this week. Temple Isaiah's services can be found here and Chabad SB's services can be found here.

- The Jewish Cultural School will host  free services at the Setauket Neighborhood House is on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until noon.
