Ed Darcey's Biggest Loser Program: Week 2

WEEK 2 Update by: Kevin Wood

Monday was 'weigh-ins' for the 10 or so taking part in the - Ed Darcey Biggest Loser contest in Rocky Point.

Just about all contestants reported weight loss with the largest amount being eight pounds. I lost a whopping 1/2 a pound, but was down 6.5 pounds last Friday. While I was a little down about that number, Ed told me that it was very normal and the fact that I feel great and am building muscle has me ready to continue strong into week 2.

Personal Fitness owner Ed Darcey reported that everybody seems highly motivated, everyone is really working hard on the dieting and exercise, "through the week all were improving, each day I want to see everybody doing something towards their goals."

The contestants started a private FaceBook group page to help motivate each other. Shoreham's Rob Bray reported having some social events on his list this past weekend and hopes to demonstrate more discipline in week 2. The Biggest Loser program runs for eight weeks and the winner is determined by the largest percentage weight loss in a 10 week period. The winner will win a cash prize and of course a new body.
