Week 6: Ed Darcey's Biggest Loser Contest
Biggest Loser Contest goes through midway point!
This Monday started week six of the 10-week Biggest Loser contest, sponsored by RPWeekly.com, at of Rocky Point.
Because I traveled in weeks 4 and 5 - I will combine all three weeks (4 to 6). First, I am happy to report that I have managed to lose weight and work out even through my travels and that's a good thing! I can now easily do one hour of cardio in a session and can actually do a couple of sets of 10 pushups, compared to when I started I could not do one.
I have lost about 10 pounds - however my conversion from fat to muscle is definitely taking place and muscle weighs more than fat. Contest trainer Ed Darcey is doing a wonderful job showing me and others exactly what to do - including operation of weight lifting equipment and diet tips. I am now able to self motivate a workout which includes cardio, weights and core body training.

As far as I can tell, all 10 contestants are still in the contest - but having everyone together in the gym has never happened and probably won't because of schedules. This should not matter too much as long as contestants weigh in once a week and check in with the contestant Facebook page.
Everybody seems to be losing about two to five pounds per week. We are now over the hump passing the half-way mark on the 10-week contest. I expect results will accelerate at this point for those still working at it.
