Who Is The Highest Paid Judge In The Land?

Read about the Judge that makes 112.5 times the salary of the United States president.

by Long Island Attorney Paul A. Lauto, Esq.

Perhaps one of the most prestigious legal titles that one may hold is that of Judge. In order to become a Judge one needs to, among other things, have an advanced education, a good professional reputation and plenty of political support.  But how much do Judges make and who is the highest paid Judge?

One might think that a NYS Supreme Court Judge would be among the highest paid, but they average approximately $140,000 per year.  Certainly, it is reasonable to think that a US Supreme Court Justice is the highest paid, as they work in the highest court in the land.  However, even a US Supreme Court Justice does not hold claim to the highest salary, as he or she averages approximately $210,000 per year.

Read the details on which Judge makes more than 100 times the salry of the US president, in our latest Scales of Justice blog at http://www.liattorney.com.

Spoken like a true teacher. Did you know that the average school teacher is only paying 15% of theRead More actual cost of health care premiums for themselves and their families, when Medical healthcare insurance premiums are rising at an alarming 17% per annum? Do you realize that teachers are paid an additional stipend if they work more than 3 consecutive periods in a day? Are you aware that teacher pensions were protected during the stock market crash of 2008, when the average person's 401K was totally at risk? Perhaps if teachers realized how good they have it - look at the BIG picture and outside of their bubble - then they would complain less. Oh and yes, we need our loftily-paid Administrators to kick in some of the salaries, to help pay for stuff. Hard to believe the school districts' mantras that "it's all for the kids".
