Two separate accidents result in multiple injuries Sunday evening.

Multiple injuries resulted from two separate accidents within minutes of each other on 25A in Miller Place Sunday evening.

The Miller Place Fire Department was called to the scene of an accident at the light on 25A in front of Friendly's with victims trapped in an overturned car. When Chiefs arrived, one was trapped after the two-car crash.

The department worked quickly to get the victim out, and according to Chief Kyle Markott, two people refused medical treatment and one victim was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital.

Markott said that while working at the accident in front of Frendly's, Fire Rescue advised him of another accident reported in front of 7-11 at the intersection of 25a and Miller Place Road. The crash resulted in one minor injury and the closing of the eastbound lane of 25A eastbound for around 30 minutes.
