Cops: Driver, Reportedly Drunk, Hits Red Light Camera Pole

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

-A man who police said was driving drunk crashed into a red-light camera pole in Miller Place.

Donald Tendrup, 29, of Miller Place, was driving a 2012 Mitsubishi on Rt. 25A on Aug. 24 at about 3:30 a.m. when the accident occurred. Police said Tendrup, who was convicted in 2006 on DWI charges, has been charged with felony drunken driving. 

-An 18-year-old Mount Sinai man was arrested on Aug. 15 on a misdemeanor petty larceny charge.. Police said the man stole a Kindle and a knife out of a pickup truck on Memorial Drive in Miller Place. When police arrested him, he reportedly had marijuana on him and he was additionally charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, which is a violation.
