Cops Investigating Rocky Point Bank Robbery

The robbery occurred Saturday morning, police said.

Suffolk County Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred in Rocky Point Saturday morning.

Detectives say a man entered the Bridgehampton National Bank at 75 Route 25A, at 9:44 a.m. and approached a teller with a note demanding cash. The teller complied with the robber’s demands and gave him cash from the drawer. The man fled on foot eastbound on Route 25A.

The suspect is described as white, approximately 6 feet tall, thin and approximately 45 to 50 years old. He was wearing a beige sweatshirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap, police said.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
