Cops: Prior DWI-Offender Crashes on Route 25A

• Steven Raimondi, 30, of Miller Place, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of DWI after police said he got into a car crash with a 2010 Lexus while driving his 2012 Jeep. According to police, the accident occurred while Maimondi was driving eastbound on Hawkins Road at Old Town Road around 6 p.m. on July 29.

• A Miller Place man was arrested for reportedly leaving the scene of an incident with property damage, a misdemeanor. Police said the 46-year-old hit a utility pole in his 2000 Ford around 1 p.m. while driving northbound on Wabil Road in Miller Place. He was arrested two and a half hours later at his home, on Wabil Road.

• Michael Ljucovic, 18, of Port Jefferson, was arrested on a misdemeanor DWI charge on July 27. According to police, he was driving westbound on Route 25A in Rocky Point when he was caught speeding and failing to maintain his lane. He was pulled over and reportedly found to be drunk.

• A Rocky Point man was arrested on a misdemeanor third-degree assault charge on July 29. Police said the man punched and kicked another person on Broadway in Rocky Point around 8:30 p.m. The victim was sent to Mather Hospital for treatment.

• Dominick Reany, 19, of Rocky Point, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on July 27 and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, as well as criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, both misdemeanors. Police said the man was on Miles Lane, eastbound, around 1 a.m. when he failed to signal while turning onto Crystal Brook Hollow Road. He was reportedly under the influence, and had, prescription pills.

• Michael Connolly, of St. James, was arrested on a felony DWI charge on Aug. 3 after police said he was caught driving drunk for the second time within the past 10 years.

Police said the 32-year-old was driving westbound on Route 25A in Miller Place, near Miller Place Road, when he was involved in a crash around 8:45 p.m. No serious injuries were reported.

• Jasmine Parisi 18, of Sound Beach, was arrested on Aug. 2 with third-degree burglary after police said she was caught taking clothing from Kohl’s from which she previously had a no-trespass agreement in place, not allowing her to enter the store.

• A 47-year-old Rocky Point man was charged with third-degree burglary after police said he punched someone numerous times in the face on Broadway in Rocky Point, causing the man to get stitches around his left eye and upper lip.
