Man Found With 8 Bags of Heroin in Rocky Point

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 25-year-old man from Selden was arrested July 12 in Rocky Point and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He was arrested at 7:10 p.m. and was found to be in possession of seven needles and eight bags of heroin, according to police.

A 28-year-old Shoreham man was arrested after he took two 42-inch Sanyo televisions from the Walmart in Setauket on July 12. He was arrested in Shoreham and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. 

A 20-year-old Miller Place man was arrested July 11 in Rocky Point and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Police said he was in possession of two wax paper bags that a residue consistent with heroin.

A 21-year-old Rocky Point woman was arrested July 11 in Central Islip and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. She allegedly took two Xbox 360 controllers from Walmart in East Setauket. According to police, she was arrested at Suffolk County District Court in Central Islip.
