Crime Report: Alleged Misconduct in Miller Place

Two arrested for alleged unlicensed vehicle operation.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Miller Place and Sound Beach during Aug. 8-13:

Charles Killian, unknown age, of Mt. Sinai was arrested Aug. 13 in Rocky Point and charged with obscene language and gestures. Reports indicate Killian was arrested for alleged misconduct on Route 25A, Miller Place.

Brice Giles, 23, of Port Jefferson was arrested Aug. 11 in Miller Place and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana. Reports indicate Giles was arrested for the alleged possession of marijuana in the parking lot of Napper Tandy’s of Miller Place at approximately 12:10 a.m.   

Daniel Gowrie, 25, of Mt. Sinai was arrested Aug. 9 in Miller Place and charged with second degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Reports state Gowrie was arrested for allegedly operating a 1997 Lexus without a license on Route 25A, Miller Place at approximately 1:23 p.m.

William Batal, 43, of Sound Beach was arrested Aug. 9 in Sound Beach and charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Reports state Batal was arrested for the alleged operation of a 1992 Jeep without a license. Reports state he was traveling on Rockaway Dr., Sound Beach at approximately 1:20 p.m.
