Crime Report: DWAI Charge, and Controlled Substance Charges

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Miller Place-Rocky Point.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Miller Place, Sound Beach, and Rocky Point during April 26-May 2:

Vina Rodriguez, 24, of Rocky Point was arrested May 2 in Shirley and charged with first offense DWI. Reports indicate Rodriguez allegedly operated a 2006 Kia while intoxicated on County Road 486 in Shirley.

John Eckhardt, 57, of Miller Place was arrested May 1 in Miller Place and charged with DWI. Reports state Eckhardt allegedly drove a 2004 GMC Sierra while intoxicated on Miller Place Yaphank Road. Reports also indicate he was involved in a crash. 

William Quaglia, 53, of Miller Place was arrested April 29 in Miller Place and charged with DWAI. Reports indicate Quaglia allegedly operated a 1998 Chrysler on Radio Avenue while intoxicated.

John Kruk, 44, of Miller Place was arrested April 27 in Miller Place and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Reports indicate he allegedly had possession of a controlled substance in the parking lot of Hess in Miller Place.    

Michael Mattiucci, 18, of Rocky Point was arrested April 27 in Rocky Point and charged with second degree criminal trespassing. Reports indicate he allegedly ran into a home on Sycamore Drive, Rocky Point.
