Crime Report: Graffiti at Rocky Point HS, DWI Charges and Marijuana Possession.
A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Miller Place-Rocky Point
Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Miller Place, Sound Beach, and Rocky Point during Feb. 21-28:
Starr Volz, 39, of Miller Place was arrested Feb. 28 in Medford and charged with making graffiti. Reports state at approximately 11 p.m., Volz was allegedly making graffiti on the entry glass doors of Rocky Point High School and was arrested on Route 112 in Medford.
James Finnigan, Jr., 21, of Selden was arrested Feb. 24 in Miller Place and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Finnigan was operating his 2007 Toyota at approximately 12:40 a.m. on 25A and Miller Place Rd. when he allegedly failed to signal on a right turn. Reports indicate upon being pulled over, Finnigan was discovered to be driving while intoxicated.

Lauren Woods, 23, of Sound Beach was arrested Feb. 24 in Miller Place and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state at approximately 3:20 a.m., Woods was driving her 2001 Honda eastbound Route 25A in Miller Place when she was pulled over by police and allegedly discovered to be driving while intoxicated.
Cliff Pirato, 26, of Miller Place was arrested Feb. 24 in Rocky Point and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Pirato was operating his 2004 Dodge at approximately 12:50 a.m. on Route 25A in Miller Place when he was pulled over during a traffic stop and allegedly driving while intoxicated.

Alex Capetanos, 24, of Miller Place was arrested Feb. 23 in Coram and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Reports state Capetanos was observed to be in possession of a glass smoking pipe and suboxone pill by police at approximately 11:15 p.m. Capetanos was arrested on Sequoia Dr. in Coram.
Constance Scavetta, 45, of Rocky Point was arrested Feb. 21 in Selden and charged with DWI and unlawful possession of marijuana. Reports state Scavetta was operating a 2003 Dodge northbound on County Rd. 83 at approximately 5:30 p.m. when Scavetta was allegedly driving while intoxicated.
None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must email the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
