Crime Report: Forgery Charge, DWI Charges, and Stolen 23 Inch Samsung

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Miller Place-Rocky Point

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Miller Place, Sound Beach, and Rocky Point during Jan. 21—28:

Ryan Gorman, 29, of Miller Place was arrested Jan. 24 in Shirley and charged with forgery, grand larceny, and criminal possession of stolen property.  Reports state Gorman was arrested on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley after allegedly having possession of stolen property and the forgery of checks. 

Thomas Hartill, 45, of Port Jefferson was arrested Jan. 22 in Sound Beach and charged with aggravated DWI with a child on board.  Reports state Hartill was pulled over on Block Island Drive in Sound Beach for his bright lights and was arrested for DWI.

Gregory Coleman, 49, of Rocky Point was arrested Jan. 21 in Middle Island and charged with first offense DWI.  Reports state Coleman was involved in a motor vehicle accident on County Road 21 in Middle Island.  Reports state he was operating a 2008 Ford pick-up while intoxicated. 

Daniel Marciano, 27, of Sound Beach was arrested Jan. 21 in Setauket and charged with petit larceny.  Reports state Marciano was arrested at BJ’s Wholesale Club in South Setauket after he stole a 23 inch Samsung television.

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must email the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
