Crime Report: GPS Unit Stolen, Trespassing Charge

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Miller Place, Sound Beach and Rocky Point during Aug. 2-7:

Sarah Ogden, 33, of Sound Beach was arrested Aug. 6 in Sound Beach and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash. Reports indicate Ogden allegedly left the scene of a crash on Middle Country Rd., Selden at approximately 10:30 a.m.    

Cynthia Berezuk, 55, of Sound Beach was arrested Aug. 5 in Sound Beach and charged with criminal obstruction. 

Daren Daly, 44, of New York was arrested Aug. 4 in Miller Place and charged with first offense DWI. Reports indicate Daly was arrested for the alleged operation of a 2001 Jeep while intoxicated. Reports indicate the incident occurred on Route 25A at approximately 1:29 a.m.    

Kevin Powers, Jr., 21, of Mt. Sinai was arrested Aug. 4 in Miller Place and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Powers was arrested for the alleged operation of a 2007 Nissan while intoxicated. Reports indicate Powers was initially pulled over by police for speeding eastbound on Route 25A and Tyler Ave. in Miller Place at approximately 1 a.m.    

Kevin Acerno, 50, of Centereach was arrested Aug. 4 in Rocky Point and charged with third degree criminal trespassing. Reports state Acerno allegedly climbed over a fence on the north side of a yard on Rocky Point-Yaphank Rd. at approximately 8:20 p.m.    

Richard Strahle, 46, of West Babylon was arrested Aug. 3 in Rocky Point and charged with petty larceny. Reports state Strahle allegedly stole a GPS Unit from 676 Route 25A at approximately 3 p.m.
