Crime Report: Man Allegedly Drunk Drives Stolen Truck in Rocky Point

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge does not indicate a conviction.

Gary Reichmann, 23, of Rocky Point, was arrested Sept. 1 in Coram and charged with DWAI combined drugs and alcohol. He was arrested while driving a while driving a 2000 Chevy Malibu on Coram-Mt. Sinai Road and Whiskey Road at 11:21 p.m. He allegedly failed to maintain his lane of travel and crossed over both the double yellow lane markings and the solid white shoulder markings. Officers smelled alcohol on his breath along with burnt marijuana and he was arrested, Police said.

Shera Dougherty, 25, of Bayport, was arrested Sept. 1 in Shoreham and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Dougherty was allegedly found with a hypodermic needle containing heroine on Cobblestone Drive in Shoreham.

David Paulraj, 50, of Holbrook, was arrested Aug. 30 in Rocky Point and charged with first-offense DWI and third-degree grand larceny. He was arrested at 1:05 a.m. on Route 25A in Rocky Point while driving a 1995 Chevy pick up that had been reported stolen. He failed to maintain his lane of traffic, was given a sobriety test and it was determined that he had been driving while intoxicated, Police said.

Daniel Russ, 26, of Rocky Point, was arrested Aug. 28 in Medford and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was allegedly found with suboxone sublingual films in his right front pocket while he was in the parking lot of the Gas Light Motor Inn on Route 112, Medford.

Holly Olsen, 20, of Sound Beach, was arrested Aug. 27 in Miller Place and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Olsen was arrested at Woodhull Landing Road and Old Rocky Point Road while allegedly in possession of oxycodone hydrocholoride.

But I also blame the absent NO vote. They need to be sent a message-we need a majority no vote but that will never happen. Glad I am out of here in 2 years. Can't imagine trying to live here and pay these taxes on social security and my 401K that tanked in 2008 while I was making up the teachers loss on their pension and paying my health insurance & theirs at the same time. So boo hoo teachers you have to spend money on the kids while I spend money on you.

Did you know that the average school teacher is only paying 15% of theRead More actual cost of health care premiums for themselves and their families, when Medical healthcare insurance premiums are rising at an alarming 17% per annum? Do you realize that teachers are paid an additional stipend if they work more than 3 consecutive periods in a day? Are you aware that teacher pensions were protected during the stock market crash of 2008, when the average person's 401K was totally at risk? Perhaps if teachers realized how good they have it - look at the BIG picture and outside of their bubble - then they would complain less. Oh and yes, we need our loftily-paid Administrators to kick in some of the salaries, to help pay for stuff. Hard to believe the school districts' mantras that "it's all for the kids".
