Crime Report: Stolen Property Charge and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Miller Place-Rocky Point.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Miller Place, Sound Beach, and Rocky Point during April 13-17:

A sixteen-year-old from Rocky Point was arrested April 17 in Shirley and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property. Reports state the youth allegedly had possession of a stolen GPS on School St., and Jane Blvd., in Port Jefferson Station. Reports indicate the youth was arrested at the seventh precinct located in Shirley.

Ann Yates, 20, of Sound Beach was arrested April 17 in Rocky Point and charged with petit larceny. Reports state Yates allegedly attempted to steal assorted clothing and jewelry from the Rocky Point Kohl’s.     

A seventeen-year-old from Rocky Point was arrested April 16 in Rocky Point and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property. Reports state the youth allegedly stole a GPS on School Street and Jane Boulevard in Port Jefferson Station. Reports indicate the youth was arrested at the seventh precinct located in Shirley.

Stephen W Conti, Jr., 27, of Mastic was arrested April 16 in Rocky Point and charged with aggravated DWI. Reports state Conti was arrested on Route 25A, West of Anthony Drive in Rocky point after allegedly operating his 2002 Dodge Durango while intoxicated.     

Stephen Renzi, 30, of Port Jefferson was arrested April 16 in Miller Place and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Reports state Renzi was arrested at approximately 12:55 p.m., on Radio Avenue for the alleged possession of a controlled substance.   

Ashley Haskell, 22, of Miller Place was arrested April 13 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Haskell was arrested after allegedly operating her 2011 Hyundai northbound on Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station while intoxicated.
