Crimes Nearby: Body Found at Riverhead Shopping Center

Three Village

Hayden Santos, 18, of Setauket, was arrested April 29 in Setauket and charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon.

Wesley Skiffington, 22, of Selden, was arrested May 2 in Stony Brook and charged with first-offense DWI. Police arrested Skiffington at 1:49 a.m., after stopping him for failing to maintain his lane while driving southbound on Nicolls Rd.

Josh Williams, 27, of Wading River, was arrested April 27 in Stony Brook and charged with first-offense DWI. Police arrested Williams at approximately 2 a.m., after stopping him for speeding and failing to maintain his lane while driving southbound on Nicolls Rd.

Port Jefferson

Yan Rodriguez, 21, of Coram, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on April 28 and charged with assault in the third degree. Police said Rodriguez punched someone in the nose on West Broadway in Port Jefferson, causing bleeding and swelling. The victim was transported to.

Anthony Gugliotti Jr., 51, of Patchogue, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on April 28 around 7:30 p.m. and charged with trespassing. According to police, Gugliotti entered the station without permission.

On May 2, someone reported a grand larceny at Graceful Rose Restaurant on West Broadway. According to police, audio equipment, including two amplifiers, were allegedly stolen from the restaurant.

Riverhead

Suffolk County Police said on May 8 that a body found on Monday at the Peconic Plaza in Riverhead was identified as Flanders resident Mirian Garcia. Garcia was a 29-year-old resident of Bell Avenue.

The Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner determined the woman’s death is a homicide.

On Monday, a female body was found in the Peconic Plaza, near the Department of Motor Vehicles, according to the Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad.
Detectives are reporting that  were called around 8:20 a.m. to 200 Old Country Road in Riverhead. Police say when they arrived the woman was already dead.

The woman's body was taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be performed, according to police.
