Crimes Nearby: PJ Station Man Pleads Not Guilty to Murder Charge

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County and Riverhead Police Departments. It does not indicate a conviction.

Three Village

Suffolk County police said Tuesday they are investigating an armed robbery that took place March 9 at the 7-Eleven on Pond Path in Setauket. According to police, a black man described as six feet tall with a skinny build, entered the store at approximately 3:40 a.m., displayed what appeared to be a handgun, took cash and fled the store southbound on Pond Path in a black Honda CRV. Police said the thief was wearing a red hat, sunglasses, gloves, and a dark shirt and pants.

Nicholas DiMuzio, 20, of Stony Brook was arrested March 8 and charged with second-degree burglary. Police say DiMuzio was involved in a Feb. 14 burglary on Buckhingham Meadow Road in East Setauket. DiMuzio was arrested in the parking lot of Walmart on Route 347 in East Setauket.

Port Jefferson

A Port Jefferson Station man to death pled not guilty to murder charges in Suffolk County criminal court in Riverhead on Monday morning. Eduardo Nunez, 20, of Port Jefferson Station, is charged with one count of second-degree murder and two counts of intimidating witnesses, said Assistant District Attorney Raphael Pearl who is prosecuting the case for Suffolk County. Jennifer Portuese, 27, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on March 9 at about 11:55 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Portuese was on Huron Street allegedly in possession of heroin and a hyperdermic instrument.

Debra Burke, 38, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested on in Port Jefferson on March 8 and charged with grand larceny. Burke allegedly said that she was the legal owner of a 1995 Chevrolet Suburban when she was not. Burke also allegedly tried to junk the Suburban and was charged with filing a false record.

Riverhead

Following an East End Drug Task Force investigation, a .

According to Riverhead Police, Robert Trent, 22, of Riverhead, was arrested shortly after noon, and charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the first degree. It was the in the area within the past week. Following Monday's arrest, Trent was remanded to Suffolk County Jail and is due back in court on Friday.

Two Riverhead men were arrested on March 3 after police said they were .

Julian Wright, 38, and Terrance Latimore, 34, were arrested around 1:30 p.m. According to reports, police responded to a 911 call about people lying in the roadway. Upon police arrival, the two reportedly continued to lie and walk in the roadway.

According to police reports, an officer attempted to interview Wright and Latimore, but both showed signs of an "extreme altered mental status consistent with the use of phencyclidine." Both were arrested on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, loitering, and appearance in public under the influence of narcotics.

Riverhead Police , who was already facing new charges of burglary and petit larceny in Nassau County, for reportedly robbing a Wading River bank nearly a month ago.

Robert Fornal, 41, of Bethpage, is charged with robbery in the third degree, and according to police was arraigned in Riverhead Justice Court. He is due back in court on Thursday.

Police reported that in Wading River and subsequently fled the scene of the crime.
