Crimes Nearby: Two Arrested Right Outside Suffolk County Jail

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County and Riverhead Police Departments. It does not indicate a conviction.

Three Village

Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief at in Setauket in which the greens were damaged and liquid dish soap bottles, beer cans, and lawn chairs were found nearby. The incident took place between 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 17 and 5:45 a.m. on Aug. 18.

According to a police report, an unknown person broke a window at a home on Salem Drive in East Setauket and stole 30 figurines from a display cabinet at approximately 7 p.m. on Aug. 17.

According to a police report, an unknown person kicked in the rear door of a home on Gnarled Hollow Road in Setauket at approximately 1:35 p.m. on Aug. 16. Police said the homeowners returned home and the suspect fled without taking any property.

Rachel Boerke, 22, of East Northport, was charged with petit larceny on Aug. 18. Police said Boerke was accused of taking money from another person in Huntington station and was arrested at 4 a.m.

Kerin Turcios, 22, of East Northport was charged with petit larceny and false personation on Aug. 13. According to police, Turcios allegedly stole property from the Huntington Shopping Center on New York Avenue at 4:15 p.m. When he was arrested, Turcios gave the police false information and was also arrested for false personation, said police.

Riverhead

Suffolk County sheriffs arrested two individuals on Tuesday at approximately 2:50 p.m. right outside the Suffolk County Correctional Facility in Riverside.

According to authorities, Suffolk County Deputy Sheriff Joseph Mirro arrested the operators of two motor vehicles who happened to pull up back-to-back at the guard booth located at the entrance to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility.

Crystal Webberly, 29, of Middle Island, N.Y., allegedly violated a temporary order of protection by being in the same vehicle as her 11-month-old child, police said. 

While verifying the court order of protection regarding Webberly, authorities say a second vehicle, operated by Christopher Robert Mizelle, 26, of Huntington, was also stopped by Mirro at the guard booth. Upon further investigation, Mizelle was also allegedly found to be in violation of a 1st District Court permanent order of protection for being in the same vehicle of his passenger.
