The Suffolk County Hate Crimes unit responded and after investigation, determined it was not a hate crime, Suffolk County Police said. Arson detectives, however, determined the car was intentionally set on fire.  A search warrant for 11 Xylo Rd. was executed with the assistance of Seventh Precinct Patrol officers and Emergency Services and evidence related to the incident was seized.

According to police, a dispute between the four arrested and residents of the vandalized home may have led to this incident. The investigation is ongoing.
