Miller Place EMT Kyle Reitan, who was recently named Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY) EMS Provider of the Year Award, received the award in Miller Place over the weekend and met with the man whose life he saved by his rapid action.

“Lieutenant Reitan is the epitome of what a public servant should be as he showed
incredible compassion and perseverance in saving the life of the accident victim," Anker said. "To say that the Town of Brookhaven is lucky to have him as a first responder is an understatement. I congratulate Kyle on this special honor and thank him for his service to the community.”
