Officers Reunite With Man They Saved in Mt. Sinai

Officers and elderly man they revived in Mount Sinai reunite.

Off-duty officer Lance Prager had just left training for Advanced Life Support on May 17 when he witnessed 86-year-old Bruno Kaluzinski fall to the floor while at Agway on Route 25A in Mt. Sinai.

After determining that Kaluzinski wasn't breathing, he began CPR. Sixth Precinct patrol officers Anthony Passarella and Frank Ribaudo arrived to assist Prager. Kaluzinski began breathing and Port Jefferson Volunteer Ambulance Company brought him to Mather Memorial Hospital.

On Sunday, the officers reunited with the victim at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson on Sunday afternoon. Pictured from left to right are Sixth Precinct Officer Anthony Passarella, Sixth Precinct Officer Frank Ribaudo, Emergency Service Section Officer Lance Prager and Bruno Kaluzinski.
