Police: Aggressive Pitbull Euthanized in Mt. Sinai
Aggressive pitbull lunged at officers, Police said.
An aggressive pitbull was euthanized by Police at 11 a.m. on Sunday after chasing some Mt. Sinai students.
The dog ran onto the field as the Mt. Sinai Middle School lacrosse team was finishing up practice. A call to Suffolk Police was made, and when they responded the dog was aggressive and lunged at officers several times, Police said.
Emergency Services responded and euthanized the dog. There was no further information available regarding the incident.
