Police Looking For Ice Cream Shop Thief

Local authorities are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who burglarized a Miller Place business in mid-June.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are looking for a man who used a key to unlock the entrance of Ralph’s Italian Ices, located at 745 Route 25A, on June 18 at approximately 11:30 p.m. and stole about $2,000 in cash.

The man was described as white with a husky build wearing glasses who likely is familiar with the interior of the business and the location of the money. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt over a white shirt, jeans with a hole on the right rear near the pocket, dark sneakers and dark gloves.
