I would like to know what boZo the clown was doing that night. In fact let's haul in the Easter bunny, Santa Claus, and the tooth fairy. Maybe they can shed some light on the issue.

The high cost of artificially low taxes. Q:Where does Johnny Slumlord house his Trash? A:Wherever it's the most profitable. Water rises to it's own level folks and considering the SD is 5M upside down,I can't think of a better time to reassess the situation in Sound Beach( and North Shore Beach too).

@r. - Still nothing. I will have any updates that come along
Cc123 February 29, 2012 at 02:50 AM
What is going on tonight again tonight? More helicopters, more police. This is crazy. I do pay taxes, not cheep taxes either. Please let's find this person and clean up sound beach. A lot of great families live here. We need a neighborhood intervention.
M&M February 29, 2012 at 11:07 AM
Yep - more helicopters, I heard what sounded like a shot at 9:06 last night, we also heard the shot last Thursday that went unreported at around 10:00 pm (I am off Beacon). We're new here (a few months). This is pretty creepy for sure. When we moved in we thought "what a nice quiet" area. Now it's more like "pass me the Mossberg honey".
BillLongisland February 29, 2012 at 12:25 PM
Helicopters go over the "good neighborhoods" too. You all are sounding a little silly. Geez, you're making it sound like it's South Central LA or something ! Stop getting your collective "panties in a wad" !
Cc123 February 29, 2012 at 03:48 PM
I am off Lookout, I also heard the shot on Thursday at 10:00 and reported it to the SCPD. I did not see any police or hear after my call. All of my neighbors heard it also,. They didn't call because they throught my call would be sufficent. It was very loud on Thurday and only one.
Cc123 February 29, 2012 at 03:51 PM
This is a great neighborhood! Things happen every now and again anywhere you live. We have been in the area 12 years, this is a freek thing.
M&M February 29, 2012 at 05:22 PM
Cc123 - Yeah, the shot was pretty loud where I am, caught me off guard as I was drifting off to sleep and really startled me. Good to hear that you’ve had 12 good years here - we are hoping for the same. Like I said, we’re relatively new and we’re just getting acclimated so this has been a strange part of the indoctrination. Thanks for the positive comments on the area.
M&M February 29, 2012 at 05:23 PM
Sounding silly? I am not so sure. I’d say more concerned than silly as this has taken place in the short span of a week - last Wednesday, the person with the mask and shotgun, last Thursday evening (10 pm or so) a shot was clearly heard close to my place and then last night more helicopters with search lights and what sounded like a single shot at just after 9:00 pm (but that could have been a single firecracker - it was too far off to tell in this case). If it all blows over and nothing else happens, then all the better and I will chalk it off to a bizarre set of coincidences. I sure hope that’s the case. As far as “collective panties” - the Welcome-Wagon literature that I received when we moved in says that I have to be a resident for at least 6 months before I can be considered “a part of the panty”. In either event, the imagery is almost as disturbing as the gunshots.

Hey guys, Just to keep you all updated, there is still NOTHING NEW on this case other than what is in the report above. Police are still investigating, and we will hear helicopters from time to time as police actively patrol the area. As SOON as I hear anything new on the case I will relay it to you all.
BillLongisland February 29, 2012 at 07:13 PM
Rich have Sarah Anker or Jane Bonner contacted you about this incident, with any press release ?
Cc123 February 29, 2012 at 09:13 PM
Thank you Rich, I contacted the 7th pd today and the gave me no information either. I do think the scpd is concerned, they have been on patrol. I have faith in our agencies to do the right thing for the citizens. Maybe that is naive. As for the "panties in a wad" accusation, I would like to think of it as a concerned citizen for neighborhood affairs. Hopefully we will get some resolution, or a least and official end.
Nick February 29, 2012 at 10:47 PM
We live off beacon. My wife and I are concerned. This guy lives in the area. The police don't put the chopper up for nothing, especially in the same area that was dealing with an incident last week. I called the 7th and was informed that they were looking for a person of Interest. I have heard shots fired recently. This will surface soon.
Nick March 02, 2012 at 05:32 AM
Drive around beacon, echo, lower rocky point road on a Friday and saturday night after midnight and see how many are just hanging out walking around, smoking weed in a car etc.
BillLongisland March 02, 2012 at 07:28 AM
One Freedom that is left in this Country, is you don't have to ask anyone permission or get a permit to move to a new location.
Nick March 03, 2012 at 12:45 AM
Thanks bill, that was some good advice. Yet, why would I move instead of addressing the issue at hand. Is that what you do? Advise people to pack up and run. Wake up! We have an idiot painting his face and walking in public with a shotgun. As for the neighborhood, get out of bed and drive around after midnight and see what sound beach is really like after hours. If your one of the residents of sound beach with no plates on your car and it's parked on your lawn, I will swing by and get you neighbor.
BillLongisland March 03, 2012 at 08:55 AM
Look, Nick, the neighborhood, is what the residents of your area want it to be. If you tolerate, not getting any information from the public, Tax Payer supported people who are responsible for handing these things in your community, how else can you expect them to act towards you ? If you tolerate the Quality Of Life there in Soundbeach, and do Nothing to "raise up" Quality of Life, that is Your Responsibility. It takes One Person, to take The First Step, and speak out against it...and not here...but to those public officials who are just sitting there doing Nothing. I haven't seen Any public statements from your elected representatives there, so fare, other than the impotent "civic association" person...and she ain't going to help you ! Believe me. Where is Jane Bonner ? We already know that Sarah Anker is asleep somewhere, so we can't depend upon her, until the "dust has cleared" and she makes a "photo op" After everything has been solved by someone else ! Go out to your neighbors and Organize...Keep the Heat on these public officials, organize a neighborhood watch with the local police precinct.
Nick March 03, 2012 at 02:55 PM
I have not been informed by any politician about this. I figured as well that a statement would have been issued. Yet you are deflecting from what you said. I am doing something. I play a role in working and paying taxes and keeping a pulse on my neighborhood. I am not the kind of person to walk around with horse blinders on pretending that everything is roses. I do react to negative things that go on within our streets. I find it hard to believe that at this point there has not been a lead with this investigation. All I am saying is that if you open your eyes past 10:30 at night you might get a different view of the element that we live with. As for Sarah and Jane, I have never seen them on my block. Food for thought
BillLongisland March 03, 2012 at 03:17 PM
Nick, Unfortunately, you get a fatality there, they you will see at least Jane Bonner. Again, Sarah "Usually Late As Ever" Anker is sleeping somewhere and only comes out when the "all clear" signal is made...you know like the last hurricane. That they can take a few minutes out of their Not Busy Day to look into what's going on...maybe do a "ride around" photo op with News 12, at least, is, apparently, asking too much. Even making the illusion of concern is too much and not in their schedule. The thing is they know what's going on there after dark, and that's why they are not there...even "faking it" ! You see, that would be "making an issue" of things, embarassing to the people and Interests that they are beholden to. DM/MP knows what I am talking about.
Nick March 03, 2012 at 06:22 PM
Well let's see how this weekend goes. Again I go back to the theory of a very local resident is the one who did this. There is no way with the manpower used that he slipped away. Of he did it in a vehicle they can monitor vehicles in certain areas. This moron walked out then went into the woods and backtracked to his shack that helps our area look good.
Cc123 March 04, 2012 at 12:06 AM
I hear sirens in the neighborhood tonight Saturday. Anyone know what's going on?
Captain Howard Hawrey March 04, 2012 at 01:57 AM
I'm hearing that there were arrests made at the south end of Tyler Ave (MP) last night. Anyone have any info? Things are getting crazy around here. What gives??
Nick March 04, 2012 at 03:15 PM
What gives? Well Howard, we have a painted face guy running around with a shotgun. Helicopters, k9, etc. question is, why have they not made an arrest?? Yesterday I drive down Waterville drive. What a dump.
