Police: Rocky Point Bank Robber Arrested

Christopher O'Donnell, 38, of Rocky Point, is charged with second degree robbery.

The man who robbed a Rocky Point bank on Wednesday has been caught, police said. 

Christopher O’Donnell, 38, of Rocky Point, was arrested on Friday and charged with second degree robbery, police said. 

Police said O’Donnell entered the Capital One bank, located at 366 Route 25A, and approached a teller at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday and demanded cash. The teller complied with the demand and gave O’Donnell cash from the drawer, police said. 

O’Donnell fled the scene, police said, but within hours police released two clear surveillance photos of the alleged robber. 

O’Donnell is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
