Two men were arrested on Sept. 7 after allegedly working in concert on several burglaries in Sound Beach, Rocky Point, Mt. Sinai, Centereach, Selden and Mastic Beach.
William Smith, 30, of Rocky Point was charged with six counts of second-degree burglary and Jeremy Sunderland, 26, of Centereach was charged with seven counts.
Smith and Sunderland allegedly took jewelry from a home in Centereach and broke into homes on Mahogany Road and Water Road in Rocky Point, police said. Smith and Sunderland were also allegedly involved in other incidents in Sound Beach, Centereach and Mastic Beach, and Sunderland in Mt. Sinai and Selden.
The break-ins took place between Aug. 24 and Sept. 4, according to police.
