Police: Woman Nearly Strikes Cop Car

Jennifer Jordan, 26, of Ridge, was arrested July 1 in Rocky Point on multiple charges after almost striking a police car, police said. She was charged with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle, all misdemeanors. She was found with a hypodermic needle and heroin in her car, according to police.
A 25-year-old man from Stony Brook was arrested June 30 in Miller Place and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. He allegedly stole a $280 Keurig coffee machine from Kohl’s in Ronkonkoma on April 29.
A 24-year-old Rocky Point man was arrested June 24 at the Suffolk County District Courthouse in Central Islip and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. The man allegedly stole three Nest Learning Thermostats from locations at 399 County Road 46 in Shirley.
