S-WR High School Deemed Safe After Lockdown From Internet Threat

School goes on lockdown Friday morning as Police investigate nature of student's Facebook status posted Thursday night.

Shoreham-Wading River High School was on lockdown Friday morning after a school-shooting threat was posted on Facebook, according to Police.

Police said the Seventh Precinct Crime Section was notified last night of a Facebook post written by a Shoreham Wading River High School student, but no threat was made.

According to a report in the Riverhead-News Review, the school was deemed safe after a 45-minute lockdown around 7 a.m. as police officers investigated.
