Three Departments Respond to Port Jeff Boat Fire
Fire contained to boat's cabin, which was damaged in the blaze.
Three volunteer fire departments responded to an overnight boat fire in early Monday morning.
The called for fire boats from Mt. Sinai and Miller Place Fire Department's and Port Jefferson Volunteer Ambulance and Miller Place EMS ambulances arrived on scene but were not needed.
Shortly after 1 a.m., the Miller Place Fire Department marine rescue division found the 35-foot, twin-engine boat boat tied up to a launch ramp dock, taking on water and tilted to one side.

The fire remained in the cabin and did not spread. There was visible damage to the cabin and the windshield was smashed. No serious injuries were reported.
