Update: Three Separate Crashes in Three Towns Wednesday, Minor Injuries Result

Three accidents cause havoc on Route 25A Wednesday afternoon.

According to Port Jeff Volunteer Ambulance Company, one person with minor injuries was transported to St. Charles Hospital after they reported to a crash on 25A between Mt. Sinai Avenue and Mt. Sinai-Coram Rd.

Three separate accidents across three neighboring towns reportedly caused traffic congestion on Route 25A late Wednesday afternoon.

The Miller Place Fire Department (MPFD) responded for a two-car crash across from the on 25A at 2:40 p.m.

According to officials, the t-bone crash caused two people to be transported to area hospitals for minor injuries and snarled traffic in both directions.

“Our crew worked quickly to secure the vehicles and keep traffic moving safely on Route 25A,” MPFD Second Assistant Chief Josh Hagermann said.

In Rocky Point, a multiple vehicle crash occured at Hunter Ave. and 25A around 4:30 p.m.
