FEMA Sandy Relief Info Session to be Held in Rocky Point

Important Sandy relief information will be available in Rocky Point on Jan. 10.

A special Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Individual Assistance for Superstorm Sandy Information Session will be held Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. at the Rocky Point VFW Post 6249.

Councilwoman Jane Bonner, Rep. Tim Bishop and Legis. Sarah Anker will be in attendance along with officials from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration, who will give a presentation and conduct a question and answer session.

Town officials from the departments of Environmental Protection and Building, and the Office of Emergency Management will also participate.

“So many Brookhaven residents who were impacted by Sandy are in need of financial assistance to repair the damage to their homes and get their lives back to normal again,” Bonner said. “I thank Congressman Bishop for organizing this event and I urge everyone who needs assistance to attend and be ready to take notes and ask questions.”

For more information, call Bishop’s office at 631-289-6500.
