Sarah Anker met with Suffolk County Clerk Judith Pascale to sign the official record as Suffolk County Legislator for the Sixth District on Thursday.

Democratic candidate Anker, Mount Sinai resident, defeated Republican candidate Jennifer Juengst in the race for the Suffolk County Legislature's 6th district seat with more than 52 percent of the vote.

Anker said she is excited to have the ability to continue working on projects for Brookhaven.

“I’m looking forward to continuing the many projects I’ve facilitated over the past two years including Rails to Trails, helping our young adults find jobs and affordable housing, supporting our seniors, protecting our environment, implementing fiscal responsible measures to get our County out of debt and promoting financial stability through economic growth,” said Anker in a statement.  “It is an honor and privilege to continue to serve the residents of the 6th Legislative District.”

After she left Miller Place residents "holding the bag" for that Trails Rails thingy, she should keep a lowwwwww profile...you know, like she mostly does, until it's election time !
