PHOTO: Rocky Point Civic Discusses County Water Quality

Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker recently spoke with residents at the Rocky Point Civic Association to speak about current updates in Suffolk County, including the water quality in the county.

 Dr. Sarah Meyland, Director of the Center for Water Resource management at the New York Institute of Technology, shared a presentation and offered measures that residents can take to ensure they are properly assisting in preserving the quality of our aquifer and ground water.

“Through Sarah Meyland’s presentation on water quality, residents are able to learn how the County protects our drinking water," Anker said, "and the actions people can take to ensure that the quality and quantity of water stays at anacceptable rate.”
