After complaints by neighbors over loud music at the Cedar Beach Bar & Grille, the Mount Sinai Civic Association and the Town of Brookhaven will keep a close eye on the location this season, according to a report in the Village Beacon Record.
According to the report, the Town said that the grill has a special alcohol permit, but music is expected to be kept to a certain level and must stop by 10 pm. Security will be provided at the owner's expense from mid-May until the end of the season, the report states.
Other issues expressed at the recent civic meeting damage to gates at the west entrance of the beach that stop people from coming into the parking lot after hours.
