Which Roads Are or Aren't Plowed in the Town of East Hampton?

Help us create a list for the community of which roads are cleared, and which are hazardous.

It's day two after a blizzard shrouded East Hampton Town in snow, and one question continues to ring out for some frustrated locals: Where are the plows?

If you are in East Hampton Village, Amagansett, Montauk, Springs, or Wainscott, we want to know what your block is like. Covered in snow — or plowed and sanded?

East Hampton Town Highway Superintendent Stephen Lynch but we have to remember there are other municipalities responsibility for plowing certain roads — the county, state, and village highway departments.

Officials in other towns have said the volume of snow, and the many abandoned cars on the major roadways, has slowed down plowing efforts. Suffolk County police said that motorists who had to abandon their vehicles on the Long Island Expressway during the snowstorm are advised to call 631-904-3050.

At Patch, we'd like you to help us create a list of what's plowed and not plowed in town so far. Just add a comment below with the name of your street and whether it is plowed or not. Send this link to people you know so we can create a comprehensive list.

Truth not fiction seems to be an oxymoron. We get fiction not truth. First you need to know what urban renewal roads are, then you need to know how they get done.It is up to the supervisor not the hwy superintedent.Your bitterness reminds of someone. Lets hear some more truths

Our hwy taxes went up by 18% (check your tax bill) and with more snow on the way, I hope EH Hwy workers are ready and willing to work. It was 12" of snow, and it was a mess up until Tuesday am. It is an election year after all.
