As I was skimming through some magazines (Cosmopolitan & Glamour), I couldn’t help but notice the amount of red lips on actresses and models alike.
I absolutely love this fun throw back to the 1950's. Growing up I remember putting on layer upon layer of my mom’s bright red lipstick and feeling like an elegant movie actress! One of my favorite red lip colors is MAC Red from MAC Cosmetics. It's a classic shade of red that looks great on just about everyone.
A more wallet friendly version is L’Oreal's Infallible Lipstick in Beyonce. For an added bonus, this stuff stays on all day/night so there is no need to reapply. I bought mine a couple of years back and I’m pretty sure they still make it but I heard that you can buy it online if you can’t find it in your local drugstore.
To create the illusion of fuller lips, highlight the center of your bottom lip and the top of your cupids bow with an iridescent white eye shadow. Swipe on some lip gloss to really step up the “WOW” factor of your makeup. Complete the look with winged eyeliner and false lashes and you are ready to hit the town! Let your inner 1950’s movie screen pin-up (I personally love Marilyn Monroe) shine through and be prepared for lots of compliments all night.
