Historical Society: Caleb Smith State Park

The Suffolk County Historical Society, in conjunction with its exhibit Private Places, Public Spaces, presents a lecture on "Caleb Smith State Park: From Bull Story to Preserve."

The "Bull Story" refers to the story that Caleb Smith was given by the Indians the land that became Smithtown by seeing how much territory he could encompass by riding a bull around the area for one day.
