Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School Has a New Principal
Virginia Kelly-Gibbons joins Rocky Point after 19 years with Bay Shore.
After 19 years in the Bay Shore School District, Virginia Kelly-Gibbons joins Rocky Point for the 2011-12 school year and will begin duties as the principal of the next week.
She takes over for Ken Crawford, who retired in June after two years as principal at FJC. Crawford joined the district in 1999 and also served as principal of the during his time in Rocky Point.
Kelly-Gibbons was previously the assistant principal of the Mary G. Clarkson elementary school in Bay Shore.

"Im very, very excited to get to know the families and the children of Rocky Point," she said. "I have an extensive background in reading and early childhood education so I'm bringing that with me.
"I cant wait to met everybody and get started on Monday."
