Going Green and the Arts at Andrew Muller Primary School

A look back at a pair of events for the young students in Miller Place.

Before the end of the school year, students at Andrew Muller Primary School participated in a school arts festival and Earth Day.

During the arts festival, second grade students performed three songs; Africa, Bucketfillers and Horton Hears a Who. The festival also included a book fair, arts and crafts projects, face painting and a scavenger hunt.

On Earth Day, the students learned how they can be friendly to the environment as Magician Chris Johnson performed magic tricks while educating them on how to help the Earth.

Principal Laura Gewurz even sang the students a song about going green, and the kids participated in a book swap. Before the day's end, kindergarten students were able to plant Azalea seeds.
