John Magnani Elected as New Miller Place Board of Ed President
Magnani elected by board in 3-2 vote at Thursday's Organizational Meeting.
Miller Place Board of Education Trustee John Magnani was voted as new Board President by a 3-2 vote at district's Organizational Meeting Thursday night.
Ann O'Brien, Doug Ports and Magnani counted as the three "aye" votes, while Michael Unger and Brian Neyland were "no" votes. O'Brien, who was reelected to the Board in May, was voted as Vice President by the same vote count and the two were sworn in immediately after.
The Board issued many appointments and authorizations for the 2011-12 school year at the Organizational Meeting, and also announced their meeting schedule for the upcoming school year. All meetings will take place at unless otherwise noted.
