Local Singer With Miller Place Ties Visits Students
Donnie Klang, whose sister is a sixth grade student in Miller Place, recently visited the North Country Road Middle School.
recently held a Local Talent Workshop for sixth graders and one of the visitors was Donnie Klang, an R&B and Pop singer who is the older brother of NCR sixth grader Danielle Klang.
Donnie Klang got his start by winning the MTV show, Making the Band, and was subsequently signed as a solo artist by Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. He spoke to the students about the music industry and performed, along with his sister, who recently auditions for "America's Got Talent" herself.
His debut album, Just a Rolling Stone, was released in 2008 and topped out at No.19 on the charts. He most recently released a single entitled X-Miss for Christmas 2011.
