Miller Place Holiday Fundraising Event

The Miller Place Civic Association sent out an email to the community informing residents that the association plans on continuing fundraising efforts that were started last year to help families in need. 

The civic developed a program that researches local families that need a little extra cheer during the holiday season. This year, the association picked 40 families it hopes to help out with gift cards and other donations.

"We hope you will help us by purchasing gift cards at local stores and we prefer cards that are $20 or less that are supportive of our local businesses, helping us to spread our community warmth to more of these families in financial need so that they are better able to share in this season of joy," the association said in an email blast. "If you would like to send a check, please make it out to Miller Place Civic Association and we will purchase a gift card for you.  All donations go directly to the families."
